There are two great and very important volunteer opportunities in Tangletown right now. Both are short time commitments, flexible, and fun! Please consider volunteering to water and weed at our historic Washburn Water Tower this summer or at our Fourth of July Parade and Celebration event! These initiatives can not happen without the help of our volunteers. Help build up our Tangletown community by volunteering.
Volunteering at the Water Tower: Each shift is a short 1-2 hours and you will be paired with a neighbor to help lighten the load. It’s very flexible, you sign up for a week and do the watering and weeding when it fits for your schedule. No experience with gardening is necessary! We give you complete instructions to follow. Learn more about the project here or click here to sign up for a shift this summer!
Volunteering at Fourth of July: The Annual Fourth of July Parade and Celebration at Fuller Park is a Tangletown tradition! Each year we struggle to get enough volunteers to make the event a reality. However, once people volunteer, they come back year after year because it’s so much fun! Jump in the dunk tank, manage will call, chat with parents as their kids hop in the bounce houses, hand out prizes to kids as they play carnival games, it’s really a blast! And you get a FREE Tangletown t-shirt as a thank you for your time. Learn more about the event here and sign up to volunteer here.
