We know in these uncertain times, many people are unable to afford or access the food they need. Now more than ever, food shelves are playing a critical role in providing food to individuals and families. We’re extremely grateful they are continuing to serve our community during this time and we want to do our part to help.
The Tangletown Neighborhood Association is organizing a May Day Food Drive on behalf of the Joyce Uptown Foodshelf. On May 1, we’re asking residents who are able, to place items for donation on their front steps before 10am. We will organize volunteers who will come by to pick up your items for donation. Please sign up here so we make sure to send a volunteer your way. If you are interested in volunteering to pick up donations, please sign up here.
The greatest needs are for the following items:
- Cereal (hot or cold)
- Canned meat (tuna, chicken)
- Pasta (can be any kind of pasta or macaroni and cheese)
- Toilet paper
Please no expired food.
If you are experiencing food scarcity and need access to food at the Joyce Uptown Foodshelf, they are currently open on Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:00pm-3:45pm and located at 3041 Fremont Ave So, Minneapolis, MN 55408.
